ULBU
Takagi Masakatsu

"ULBU" means "innocence" in Polynesian language.

There used to be a vast continent near Indonesia called 'Sundaland', which connecting islands in Asia. It sunk under the sea in end of the glacial epoch. Some people lived there moved up north to China, Korea and Japan. Some of them went down south to the islands of Pacific Ocean including Polynesia. People scattered with myths and tales spread. When the fragments join together, an extensive map of our home country can be drawn, and imagination of the land of innocence emerged…

Takagi has been seeking for the roots of our arts and music in that map, he tries to touch on that old stream and bring it forward. His music and visuals can be a contemporary folk arts for us in Asia.

Embraced by his painting-like video visuals and music, the long lost human connection can eventually be found in resonance…

Kim Tak Building

Kim Tak Building is situated in the busiest road in Kowloon, Hong Kong.
In the building, the 4 of them imagine the deepest forest and the darkest footpath in the wood. They are immersed in the fantasies of tales, they can hear the echo from afar, and they breathe the coolest air from the past.
