Season comes and goes, as an everlasting circle of life;

Moon Festival of forgotten tradition in celebration of autumn harvest,
the connection with nature that we may no longer recall;

With a journey through interactive light art installation,
illuminating our future imagination, that reconnect us with nature.

Let us fly the future city to the moon...
Through the eyes of 10-year-old kids, that brightening up possibilities of bridging nature to our metropolis life.

Kingsley Ng 伍韶勁
Ng received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in New Media Art from the Ryerson University in 2003 and his Master of Science in Advanced Sustainable Design from the University of Edinburgh in 2012. He has also received postgraduate training at Le Fresnoy – National Studio of Contemporary Arts in France between 2003 and 2005, under the tutelage of renowned artists including Alain Fleischer, Andrea Cera, Jean Luc Godard, David Link, Atau Tanaka and Gary Hill and graduated with the highest honours (les felicitation du jury à l'unanimité).

He has taken part in a number of international group exhibitions, including the 4th Guangzhou Triennial, the 2nd Land Art Mongolia, Echigo Tsumari Art Triennial 2009, IRCAM Centre Pompidou Agora Festival 2006, Lille Europe Pavilion in Shanghai Expo 2010, Hong Kong Museum of Art, 2009, Microwave Media Art Festival 2007, Fabrica, Italy, 2006, InterAccess Electronic Media Arts Centre, Canada, 2003.

Ng is also the recipient of a number of grants and awards, including the Award for Best Artist (Media Arts) by Hong Kong Arts Development Awards 2013, the Asian Cultural Council Fellowship Grant 2013, the Hong Kong Contemporary Art Biennial Awards 2009, the Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award 2008, the Gold Award (Single-Screen-Based Interactive Media Category) of the 12th ifva Awards, the Canada Council for the Arts – Travel Grants to Media Artists (2006), and the InterAccess Visual Arts Award 2003.

Ng is currently a lecturer at Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University.

伍氏於2003年畢業於加拿大懷雅遜大學新媒體藝術學士,於2012年畢業於英國愛丁堡大學可持續設計理學碩士。此外,他曾於法國Le Fresnoy 國立當代藝術中心進行藝術深造,受知名藝術家阿藍.弗萊雪、 Andrea Cera、尚盧.高達、連大衛、田中能、蓋瑞.希爾等指導,並以最高榮譽(Les felicitation du jury à l'unanimité)獲得藝術研究生文憑。

他的作品曾在多個國際展覽中展出,包括「第四屆廣州三年展」、「第二屆蒙古大地藝術雙年展」、「越後妻有藝術三年祭2009」、法國IRCAM龐畢度中心 「阿哥拉藝術節2006」、上海世博2010-里爾歐洲館、香港藝術館、微波國際新媒體藝術節2007、意大利Fabrica研究中心2006及加拿大InterAccess電子媒體藝術中心2003。

他曾獲頒2013香港藝術發展獎(最佳藝術家 – 媒體藝術)、2013年紐約亞洲文化協會獎助、2009年香港當代藝術雙年獎、2008年香港青年設計才俊大獎、第十二屆香港獨立短片及錄像比賽金獎(互動媒體組)、2006年度加拿大文藝理事會獎助金及多倫多InterAccess視覺藝術獎2003。

伍氏現於香港浸會大學視覺藝術學院擔任講師。

Storytelling under the moon...
乘著故事奔月...

Children and the grown-ups share their imagination of future cities under the moon...

An extract from Invisible Cities:

The city does not consist of this, but of relationships between the measurements of its space and the events of its past… the tilt of a guttering and a cat's progress along it as he slips into the same window… like the lines of a hand, written in the corners of the streets…

Travelling at 10 m/min, how do observant passengers reflect on happenings along the rail? What do their tales tell, in the present tense, about once upon a time in the future?

點一盞燈籠擦亮未來,小朋友大朋友以奇思奔月,以歷練回應,一同妙想明月下的城市......

《看不見的城市》中有這樣一段:

「城市不是這樣構成的;構成城市的是空間距離,和發生過事情之間的關係……渠的斜度,貓沿着它,竄進同一扇窗……像掌紋,寫在街角……」

列車一分鐘走十米,途中一直在看的乘客,會告訴聽故事的人甚麼

  Retired Visual Arts teacher; concerned about the impact of urban development, especially on how the use of space shapes people's outlook, or even distorts ethical relations.
退休視藝科老師,關心城市發展對我們生活的影響,尤其是對空間使用如何塑造人生觀及做人態度,甚至扭曲了人倫關係。
